Welcome to Our Program
A strong, all-encompassing, comprehensive package for the residency experience
Residents have the ability to access and follow patients in an office and hospital setting. In addition, residents will have the unique opportunity of following up with their surgical patients throughout the duration of the peri-operative period. As a result, residents will become confident, capable and comfortable at assessing and managing future patients in the OR setting, as well as after surgery.
A vibrant, diverse urban population
The immense patient volume in the clinic provides residents with firsthand, “real-life” experience in all aspects of podiatric medicine and surgery. Clinical training will prepare residents to treat and manage a multitude of pathologies from simple to complex in patients of all ages — from pediatric to geriatric.
Be an active participant on day one
This might include working in the clinic or hospital. You won’t be standing on the side lines observing — you will have an active role on the team.
No need for travel
All facets of training occur at Saint Mary – Chicago, so no travel required.
Solid preparation for the future
With the diversity of the patient population and pathologies, residents receive a solid foundation and concrete “real-life” experiences to become competent and confident podiatrists.
Supportive faculty across all specialties and administration
Our top-notch faculty members (podiatrists, physicians and surgeons) have a wealth of knowledge and experience to share with students. All attending staff and hospital administration are fully committed to providing an environment that enhances the residency experience.
