Neuromuscular Rehabilitation Services

Neurological conditions can affect movement, balance, coordination, speech, and daily function. At Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital, our neuromuscular rehabilitation program brings together physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy to support recovery following disease or injury affecting the nervous system.

Using evidence-based techniques, our team focuses on restoring function, improving mobility, and promoting neuroplasticity, helping the brain, nerves, and muscles work together more effectively over time.

Neuromuscular Physical Therapy

Our Approach

Care begins with a comprehensive evaluation to assess strength, coordination, balance, mobility, and functional abilities.

Our interdisciplinary team provides:

Physical Therapy (PT)
Focused on improving mobility, balance, strength, and coordination. Treatment may include walking, stair training, transfers, and functional movement to support independence.

Occupational Therapy (OT)
Addresses fine motor skills and upper extremity function needed for daily activities such as dressing, eating, and personal care.

Speech Therapy (ST)
Supports communication and swallowing function, including speech clarity, language, cognitive communication, and dysphagia management.
