This clinic is a Hospital Outpatient Department (HOPD) of Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital. This change allows us to continue providing high quality, coordinated care while improving access to hospital-based resources and testing for our patients.
An HOPD is a clinic that operates as part of a hospital. This allows patients to receive outpatient services while benefiting from the hospital’s advanced resources, technology, and coordinated care system.
Nothing is changing with your care or clinicians; you will still see the same clinicians at the same location. The quality of your care will remain the same, but there will be improved access to hospital resources.
- You may receive two separate bills – one for the practitioner’s services and another for the hospital facility fee.
- Depending on your insurance plan, you may have two co-pays or minor adjustments to your out-of pocket costs. It is also possible that this results in no changes to your patient responsibility.
- Most Medicare and Medicaid plans recognize HOPDs and provide coverage.
We recommend calling your insurance provider to understand how this change may affect your coverage and costs.
